Librotea is a space for book lovers, an online book recommendation platform of the newspaper El País, allowing readers to share their literary recommendations, as well as discover the favorites of leading writers, literary critics, essayists, bloggers and other figures from film, music and the visual arts.
— This year we’ve accompanied them in the journey of documenting some of the interviews they conducted to a wide range of Spanish and foreign writers, in which they talk about their recent books, inspirations, references and of course... their literary recommendations!
Most sites that recommend books today use complex algorithms but at Librotea, we are happy that real people are who recommend. This project is special for us because of that; it allows us to document and preserve what is real, and what’s behind of a creative process of writing books.
